Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: For vacation this year, we will be traveling to unfamiliar places. I plan to pack the car trunk instead of calling attention to the back-seat area of the car as many vacationers do with shirts, dresses, etc. hanging from that little convenient hook.

Stopping at rest areas, parking lots and restaurants can be unsafe these days and why advertise that we are tourists with extra cash and travelers checks?

I think it is safer to look like a native. - Kathie Suchocki, Northampton, Mass.

This is an easy, sensible precaution and one that’s well worth taking. Thanks for sharing! - Heloise xxxx
