One-Fly Venue Moved

The 1997 Jackson Hole One Fly Open will be held in Livingston, Mont., while Jackson hosts the World Fly Fishing Championships, says Jack Dennis, founder of the tournament. The world championships were originally to be held in Spain, but political turmoil in the host region caused organizers to pull the event, Dennis said.
“We realized we couldn’t hold both the open and the world championships,” said Dennis. Anglers compete in teams and fish with one fly all day. Teams will pay a $3,250 entry fee to fish.
The one-fly event is scheduled for Sept. 11-13.
