Ua Baseball Coach Quits
Jerry Kindall, who coached Arizona baseball teams to 861 victories and three NCAA titles, retired. Kindall, 60, a former major leaguer, had a year left on his contract. His 24-year record was 861-580.
Athletic director Jim Livengood said he would begin scouting for a successor soon, and “Jerry will be involved in that process.”
Hitting coach Jerry Stitt is a favorite.
