Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: I often have trouble remembering whether I have answered a letter, so here is what I do.

After reading and answering a letter, I write the date I answered it on the back of the envelope and keep it with my stationery until I get another letter from that person, then I discard the last one.

It’s real easy to keep track this way. - Dorothy Williams, Greencastle, Ind.

Dear Heloise: Please print lots of letters like the one from Rose from Texas, about loud music in stores, malls and restaurants. It’s awful and it makes me cut my shopping short because I don’t want to hear it. - Pegge M. Murray, Colorado Springs, Colo.

You were among many who wrote about this. My husband and I avoid certain restaurants just because it is so loud you can’t talk or hear. - Heloise
