Today’s Fred Murphy Pioneer Days parade will mark the start of the summer season on Lake Coeur d’Alene.

There will be 93 entrants in the parade, including floats, vintage cars, horses and marching bands. The theme is “Cruising with the Animals.” Barb Renner, manager of the North Idaho Fair, is this year’s grand marshal.

The parade will start at 11 a.m., leaving the intersection of 15th Street and Sherman Avenue. It will travel west on Sherman Avenue to City Park.
