Hints From Heloise
Dear Heloise: When my grocery order is being processed, and the sacker asks if I want paper or plastic, I usually surprise him by saying, “both.”
I find that when schlepping the load from the car into the house, I can grab more that way. A few lightweight plastic bags can be looped over one arm and I’m still able to grab a brown bag or two, depending on their weight, with the other. Since both types of bags can now be recycled, there’s no problem in that department! - A faithful and appreciative reader, Catherine Goldberg, Cypress, Texas
Dear Heloise: I love to crochet. If you take it with you like I do, I have a handy tip for you. Place your crochet needles and pencils in a toothbrush travel case. The case usually has a tight lid and it can easily slip into your crochet bag or purse. I also have a pair of small fold-up scissors that fits into the case real well too. - Jo Brown, Haskell, Texas xxxx
