Myrtle Goss Spokane
Service for Myrtle M. Goss, 80, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Riplinger Funeral Home. There will be private entombment at Riverside Mausoleum.
Mrs. Goss died Thursday in Phoenix, where she had spent the past winter. She was born in Cheney.
She was a homemaker and was a member of Order of Eastern Star Hope Chapter No. 29 in Oakesdale, Wash.
Her first husband, Earl Berry, died in 1989.
She is survived by her husband, Fred Goss; one sister, Dorothy Pickel of Outlook, Wash.; two brothers, Paul Marsh of Lincoln, Calif., and Gordon Marsh of Nampa, Idaho.
Esther Gau Spokane
Visitation for Esther L. Gau, 76, is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Monday, and from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Spokane Memorial Gardens. HennesseySmith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Gau, who was born in Spokane County, died Thursday.
She married Clarence Gau, in 1940 in Coeur d’Alene.
She and her husband operated Gau’s Meat Markets at various locations in Spokane for many years and owned Gau’s Apartment house for 40 years, located in Vinegar Flats.
Her husband, Clarence, died in 1989.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
