Sunny Smallwood is being kept on as an assistant women’s basketball coach at Washington, new coach June Daugherty said.

Smallwood, 34, was an assistant the past three years for Chris Gobrecht, who left in April to become coach at Florida State.

Prior to the job at UW, she was an assistant at Washington State.
