On-Line Shopping Quick, Easy

If catalogs seem like a quick and efficient way to take care of your shopping, there’s something even faster: shopping on-line with your home computer.

America Online, for example, features 19 vendors, such as Hammacher Schlemmer, Chef’s Catalog, Greet Street, Sharper Image and Starbucks Coffee. You scroll through the catalog using your mouse, click the items you want to order, type in your address and credit card information, and click on “send.” In a few days, your order arrives on your doorstep, and you never even have a conversation with a real human, unless it’s the delivery person.
