Punter Peter Martin had a key role in CV’s win, twice pinning LC inside its 5 in the second half… . LC threw an interception on the first possession of the second half, but CV didn’t cash in. However, Martin pinned the Tigers on the 1 and that led to good field position and a 42-yard drive that gave the Bears the lead. Chad Adamson hit tight end Marc Hinkley for 12 yards on third-and-5 and then the pair connected again for a 19-yard scoring play… . The Bears iced the game when Justin Folkins picked off a pass at the LC 22 and returned it to the 3. Nate McFarlane scored on the next play with 2:18 remaining… . CV took the opening kickoff and marched to the LC 10 before fumbling away the ball. The Bears also fumbled the ball on their 37 and the Tigers cashed in on four plays. Two plays were passes from Derek Johnson to Bryce Stack, the first for 16 yards, the second for 22 yards and a TD.
