Penguins Clueless
Around the NHL
After one month of the NHL season, you’d think the Pittsburgh Penguins might have figured out what they’re doing wrong. So far, they haven’t a clue.
The Penguins are in shock along with the rest of the league after a 3-9 start.
Despite a 7-3 victory over the equally surprising Ottawa Senators on Saturday night, the Penguins have matched the worst start in franchise history, set in 1983-84 - their last season before Mario Lemieux arrived.
And the Senators, well, they’re another story this season. No longer the laughing-stock of the NHL, the newlook Senators had rallied to either win or tie six of their first 11 games.
Hull helps Blues end skid
Brett Hull scored twice and rookie Harry York got his third goal in three games as the St. Louis Blues ended a four-game losing streak with a 6-3 victory over the visiting Dallas Stars on Sunday night.
