The Northwest League board of directors, meeting in Scottsdale, Ariz., voted Thursday to expand the championship series from three to five games. The Spokane Indians are members of the eight-team NWL, a short-season Class A baseball league.

Running

The “Wings of the Northwest,” a 5-kilometer, all-Native American selection race, will take place Saturday in Wellpinit.
