New faces:

Domonique Peretti-Reynolds - has joined the human resources consulting department of the Spokane office of Anderson ZurMuehlen & Co. P.S. Peretti-Reynolds, who specializes in qualified plan administration and retirement plan design, earned a bachelor’s degree in business economics from Willamette University in Salem, Ore.

The Inland Automobile Association has named Kris Hinkemeyer as manager of its membership and insurance sales department. Hinkemeyer, who has 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, previously was manager of URM Stores insurance agency in Spokane for 11 years and also has held positions as a property and casualty underwriter and an independent agent selling long-term care to senior citizens.

Paul Belles was hired by Sedgwick Noble Lowndes division of Sedgwick James of Washington Inc. as a consultant. Belles is a graduate of Western Washington University.

Kristin Noe Dombrowik has joined the claims department of Sedgwick James of Washington Inc. She is a Gonzaga University graduate.

Jan Gerards has been appointed a personal financial advisor and associate in the Spokane office of American Express Financial Advisors. Gerards, who was previously the managing partner of Gerards for Jewelry, will specialize in personal financial planning and planning for small business owners.

Farm Credit Services has hired Theresa Horsch as a financial auditor in its internal audit department. Horsch, a 1995 graduate of Eastern Washington University, was formerly a temporary auditor at Northland Federal Credit Union and a temporary accountant at AgAmerica FCB.

Shirley Freligh has joined Travel Management Inc. in Coeur d’Alene as a tours, groups and senior specialist. Freligh has 17 years of experience in leisure trip planning and has recently focused on planning for Americans interested in retiring to Costa Rica.

Murphey Favre Inc. has hired Sally Hoffman as a registered representative. Hoffman has 10 years of experience in the securities industry.

April Miller, a Washington State University graduate with a master’s degree in environmental engineering, was hired as an environmental pollution specialist by the Spokane County Health District.

Mike D’Arienzo, former vice president of operations for Inland Pacific Energy Services, is rejoining Washington Water Power. D’Arienzo will be responsible for natural gas marketing, energy brokering and the development of new business for WWP in Pacific Northwest and West Coast energy markets. D’Arienzo began his career with WWP in 1983.

Momb Steel Buildings of Millwood has hired Tiffany Richards as an administrative assistant. Richards served in the Air Force before joining Momb.

Christine Hughes was named president and chief executive officer of Krypton Interactive, and executive vice president of marketing for Krypton International, the parent company of the Krypton Institute. Hughes will lead the development team for the creation of the Krypton Small Business Network. Hughes has worked for Novell computer network company, Xerox Corp., Myriad Research and the Gartner Group.

Roger Wach has joined the Prudential Acuff Northwest Real Estate Co. in Coeur d’Alene as a sales associate. Wach, who specializes in sales of multiresidential properties and lodging properties, previously worked for Tomlinson Black’s Property Management Division in Spokane. Earlier he owned and operated a hotel management company in Denver.

Moving up:

Murphey Favre Inc. has promoted Joanie Whiteman, a registered representative, to the Spokane main branch of Washington Mutual Financial Center. Whiteman has been with Murphey Favre for five years.

Sedgwick James of Washington has promoted Melanie Osman to customer service representative in its personal insurance department. Osman, who joined Sedgwick in 1994, succeeds Anita Koch, who was promoted to manager of the personal insurance department.

Sheri Borrevik has been promoted to finance manager with Momb Steel Buildings. Borrevik previously was an administrative assistant.

Starting up:

Rental Property Management of Coeur d’Alene, has formed a homeowner’s division within the company. The new division will offer professional management to homeowner’s associations. Nanci Clark-Hawkins established Rental Property Management in 1984.

Moving on:

Molly Murphy has been named director of the Center for Family Business at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis. Murphy was a marketing and public relations coordinator with CPM Development Corp. in Spokane, an affiliate of the family-owned Central Pre-Mix Concrete Co. At Marquette, she will be responsible for developing programs and marketing plans, facilitating the development of family businesses and teaching classes.

Kudos:

Dave Howard and Matt Spilker, owners of Kawasaki Motor Sports in the Spokane Valley, were named the 1995 Ski-Doo District Dealers of the Year. The award is based largely on the Ski-Doo customer satisfaction index, which grades dealer performance in after-sale service, explanation of the product, customer appreciation and vehicle condition at delivery time.

Spokane Railway Credit Union has received three 1996 Spectrum Awards, which are presented by the Washington Credit Union League and Affiliates to recognize outstanding marketing achievements of credit unions in Washington. Spokane Railway Credit Union earned first place awards in the categories of Special Communications and Brochures/Member Packets. The credit union placed second in the Newsletters (three colors or less) category.

Murray Huppin of Huppin’s Hi-Fi, Photo & Video, has been chosen as Panasonic’s Family Dealer for the Spokane area.

Gonzaga University faculty members Maria Bertagnolli and David Cleary have won Cottrell College Science Awards from the Research Corp. to fund original research involving students in the research process. Bertagnolli, assistant professor of chemistry and biology, was awarded $17,222 for her project to identify and characterize proteins that regulate blood clotting, focusing on how platelet cells adhere to other platelet cells. Cleary, associate professor of chemistry, was awarded $29,500 for his investigation of new non-linear-optical materials.
