Hints From Heloise
Dear Heloise: When trimming my daughter’s bangs, I used to always cover her shoulders with a clothespinned towel, which left me with a hairy towel to wash.
Now I use a plastic grocery bag. I cut open the bottom seam for the head opening and pull it down around the shoulders.
Then I turn up the bottom edge to act as a hair catcher. When done, this makeshift hairdresser cape can be carefully lifted off and tossed, hair and all.
My daughter is old enough to know the dangers of suffocation, but small children should never be left unattended while using this handy cape until it is disposed of. - Elaine Dailey, Veradale
