The Idaho Panhandle National Forests is taking public comments on plans to bulldoze roads into a roadless area along the St. Joe River.

Plum Creek Timber Co. has requested road access to its lands in the Mosquito Creek and Fly Creek areas near Red Ives. Plum Creek owns about 26 percent of the 22,000-acre project area.
