Lasers Light Up Classic Sound Of Pink Floyd

Pink Floyd’s coming to the Opera House! Pink Floyd’s coming to the Opera House! Well, that’s not totally accurate.

The band isn’t expected to attend Pink Floyd, The Light Show at the Opera House on Saturday. But their music will.

Pink Floyd performances over the years have been few and far between. And not once has the band played a concert here.

So Spokanites have to settle for the next best thing: their music set to a barrage of lights and lasers.

Which is just as well. Even if you were to score tickets for a Pink Floyd concert, the chances of you sitting remotely close to stage is slim. You would just be watching the lights anyway.

In addition, as the band gets older, its live presence becomes increasingly dull. So why not kick back and take in the flawless studio versions of Pink Floyd’s studio work.

Expect Pink Floyd, The Light Show to primarily draw from material from the psychedelic-rock band’s three landmark albums: “Darkside of the Moon,” “The Wall” and “Wish You Were Here.”

The lasers and lights careen at 8 p.m. Tickets are $18.50 and are available at G&B Select-a-Seat outlets or call (800) 325-SEAT.
