Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: Here is a suggestion for children or older adults. I use a section of pantyhose leg or foot to encase my bath soap. I close the open end with a rubber band. This makes it nonslip and can be used to add slivers or small soap instead of throwing the small pieces away. I can also slip this “soap sock” onto my back brush for easy back scrubbing. Nonslip soap can eliminate many bath accidents. - Al Fried, Silver Spring, Md.

It’s a great hint! It might be just as easy, though, to tie a loose knot in the open end of the pantyhose instead of using a rubber band, which might pop off or get in the way. - Heloise

Dear Heloise: I care for a much-loved older person. I keep a package of thick, soft baby towelettes in the bathroom to tidy away small accidents. It saves larger cleanup jobs later. - Mrs. E. Winters, Woodlands, Texas
