Launch Schedule Tight For Shuttle

The space shuttle Columbia arrived at its launch pad Wednesday back on schedule for a Nov. 8 lift-off but with no time to spare.

Problems that cropped up on previous flights - weakened cockpit windows, a hydraulic system failure and insulation-erosion in a booster rocket - have been fixed or are not expected to be a worry for Columbia, NASA officials said.
