ANALYSIS

We’ll truly believe Seattle’s on its way back to respectability if it hangs with the Chiefs, who are torqued after losing two straight.

Two keys here. One, Hawks defense cannot get trampled, as it did when K.C. won 35-17 in the Kingdome in September. (Advice for Hawks cornerback Corey Harris: Beware of fade route near end zone; maintain positioning where you can see Dale Carter’s face and not his keister.)

And two, Chris Warren or Lamar Smith (did Sherman Smith clear waivers?) … somebody has to provide a running attack so Friesz can throw when he wants to.

Friesz clearly comprehends Seattle’s offense and throws the deep ball better than Rick Mirer, who has been assigned clipboard duty for a while.

But the immobile Friesz requires adequate line protection and a hint of a running game. Give Friesz time and he’ll find Joey Galloway, Brian Blades and the under utilized Christian Fauria.

Potential for upset exists, but reality suggests Chiefs get well and win by 8.
