District Soccer Tournament Opens Monday

The field for the North Idaho boys district soccer tournament has finally been set. The Panhandle receives two state berths. State will be Oct. 31-Nov. 2 in Coeur d’Alene.

Sandpoint automatically qualified for state when it captured the North Idaho Cup last spring.

Four other teams will vie for the second berth beginning Monday. Moscow will travel to Lake City while Lakeland will be at Coeur d’Alene. Both matches begin at 4 p.m.

The winners will meet at Coeur d’Alene on Wednesday at 4. The winner advances to state.

If Coeur d’Alene doesn’t win Monday, the Wednesday match will move to the home of the next highest seed.
