Odessa Remains Unbeaten

Randy Carlson threw three touchdown passes and rushed for another as the unbeaten and top-ranked Odessa Tigers (3-0, 6-0) romped past the host Wellpinit Redskins (1-3, 1-5) 54-8 in a Northeast B-8 league matchup Friday night.
The game was called with 1:10 left in the third quarter because of the 45-point mercy rule.
Carlson completed 9 of 10 passes for 154 yards with no interceptions. Odessa’s Lance Meise rushed for 83 yards on only six carries, including a 5-yard touchdown run. Teammate Sean Moon caught three passes for 98 yards and two TDs.
Pateros 46, Entiat 8
Parker Barth’s 54-yard second-quarter punt return for a touchdown turned around a sluggish Billygoats start in a non-league win over the visiting Tigers.
Jason Crawley totaled 224 yards on 13-of-24 passing and tossed four touchdown passes in the second and third quarters for the fourth-ranked Billygoats (4-0, 5-1).
Tyson Blenchfield’s 85-yard run in the final period was the lone score for Entiat.

Touchet 44, Sprague-Harr. 36
The third-ranked Indians (2-0, 5-1) jumped out to a 22-0 first-quarter lead and held on to defeat the visiting Falcons (4-1) in a non-league contest.
Tim Miller returned a fumble 38 yards for a touchdown and later scored on a 15-yard run to lead Touchet. Miller and Neal Renwick each had 11 unassisted tackles to spark the defense.
Rosalia 42, SJE 12
The Spartans used a formidable ground game to pound out a win over the visiting St. John-Endicott Eagles.
Brent Slemp rushed for 177 yards and two touchdowns, one an 82-yard run, to lead the Spartans (2-1, 3-3).
Tyson Blank had three TDs, including scoring runs of 80 and 34 yards, and finished with 165 yards on the ground. Teammate Bill Lathrop added 134 rushing yards and scored on a 50-yard run.
Todd Strader and Cale Coyar each had touchdown catches for the Eagles (1-3, 2-4) in the third quarter.

Greg Whitman ran for two touchdowns and passed for another and Philip Blankenship scored a pair of TDs to lead LaCrosse-Washtucna (1-2, 3-3) to a rout of the host Vikings (0-3, 2-3) in a game called at halftime due to the 45-point mercy rule.
Whitman scored on runs of 2 and 73 yards and connected with Casey Rouleau on a 12-yard touchdown pass. Clint Anderson completed the Tigercats’ scoring with a 35-yard TD run.
