Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: My sister and her husband have been house hunting for their first new home. I have gone with her several times to look at houses. She took a notebook with her and made notes of special things that were attractive to her.

They finally narrowed down their list to three houses and they couldn’t decide which one they liked best.

I suggested that they videotape each house with all of the special features. Then they could go home and watch the tape and discuss their options with no pressure or distractions. It worked great and they were able to make a decision and they love their new house. - Jill, Sacramento, Calif.

Dear Heloise: The best use of cardboard rolls that come inside toilet paper and wax paper is to slit them lengthwise and put them over wire hangers. Staple or tape securely.

They prevent creases in shoulders. Pants stay neat when hung on the crossbar. - Janis in San Antonio
