Acting commissioner Bud Selig missed baseball’s bargaining session in New York for a third straight day, annoying negotiators for both sides and leading to a largely unproductive session.

Owners negotiator Randy Levine and union head Donald Fehr have said Selig’s presence is necessary to conclude an agreement by the end of the World Series.
