Montana Coach Has Surgery
University of Montana football coach Mick Dennehy is recovering from emergency surgery and will miss this Saturday’s Big Sky Conference game at Cal State Northridge, the university announced.
Dennehy, 46, underwent an emergency operation Monday night for a colon infection, the university said.
Dr. Daniel Hoheim, the surgeon, said Dennehy’s prognosis is excellent. He said the coach could be in the hospital for a week, and the healing process will take several weeks.
Defensive coordinator Jerome Souers will serve as head coach during Dennehy’s recovery.
