Marsha Mason To Guest On ‘Frasier’

Marsha Mason will guest-star in multiple episodes of NBC’s sitcom “Frasier.” She will portray the bawdy, larger-than-life bartender girlfriend of Frasier’s dad, Martin (John Mahoney).

“We conceived the character and spent a lot of time considering what actress would fit the image of a bold yet charming woman,” executive producer Christopher Lloyd said. “She has the right amount of ebullience and earthiness to be a nice complement to Martin and, at the same time, a hilarious irritant to Frasier and Niles.”

Mason is best known for her Academy Award-nominated performance in Neil Simon’s “The Goodbye Girl,” for which she won a Golden Globe Award.
