Usc Star Apparently Lied

Delon Washington, Southern California’s leading rusher last season, apparently drew his current three-game suspension for lying to Pacific-10 officials.

Coach John Robinson confirmed that an inquiry into a USC class taken by some athletes in the spring of 1995 was involved.

“As I understand … they were investigating that class and asked if he took a test and he said, ‘Yeah, I took it,”’ Robinson said. “And there wasn’t a test given, something like that. He didn’t do anything other than fail that investigation.”
