53 Landowners Will Share Cost Of Paving Stretch Of Hazard Road
Fifty-three landowners in north Spokane will share the cost of paving nearly a mile of Hazard Road.
The road improvement district Spokane County commissioners approved Tuesday will cost $175,000. Work on Hazard will start where the pavement now ends, west of Dartford Road.
Residents will pay about $152,000, divided according to how much land each owns and other factors. The county will pay 15 percent - $23,000 in this case - as it does for all RIDs.
County engineers said 26 out of the 39 landowners in the RID signed a petition asking for the work.
