Soccer Schedule Set
The U.S. soccer team’s schedule for World Cup qualifying includes home games in Washington and Richmond, Va.
The Americans will open the semifinal round of qualifying for the 1998 World Cup in France with a game at RFK Stadium against Guatemala on Nov. 3. A week later, the U.S. team plays Trinidad and Tobago at Richmond.
On Nov. 24, the Americans will play at Trinidad and Tobago. On Dec. 1, they travel to Costa Rica.
The final U.S. home game, at a site to be determined but expected to be on the West Coast, is set for Dec. 14 against Costa Rica. The Americans play at Guatemala on Dec. 21.
