Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: Have you ever thought about people who could have access to your name and address when you leave your mail face-up in your vehicle?

It only takes a second to turn it over or cover it with a paper, towel, cap or whatever. - A Reader, Minnesota

It’s a shame that we all have to be on alert, but your hint can help others. Thanks for writing. - Heloise

Dear Heloise: I like to sew and find this tip works well for me.

I prefer to wash fabric first so it is preshrunk. I take a little time to serge or zigzag the ends. That way, they don’t ravel, thus saving material.

At the cost of fabric, I find that is a major plus. - Georgiana Barber, Blackfoot, Idaho
