Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: When going into the grocery store, why not take a cart in with you from the parking area. Or, offer to return one that someone is unloading. Others may take the hint and do the same. - Mildred Turman, Radford, Va.

Why don’t car manufacturers make the seatbelts in the back seats of cars longer so people of bigger size can ride in safety also? - A. Mosier, Washington, Pa.

Dear Heloise: For all those who live in arid climates, I have found a way to keep brown sugar soft.

Simply wrap a wedge of apple in cheesecloth and seal it in with the brown sugar. I keep my brown sugar sealed in a jar. - Lois Eichenberger, Colorado Springs, Colo.
