Schools Chief To Speak At Senior Site
Spokane Schools Superintendent Gary Livingston will speak to South Hill senior citizens Tuesday at 1 p.m.
His appearance coincides with the noon luncheon at the South Hill Senior Center, 2727 S. Mount Vernon.
Livingston will talk about educational reform and how restructuring is being done to bring public schools in line with changes in social structures, demographics and technology.
Reservations are required for the $3 luncheon and can be made by calling the center at 535-0803.
In other events, an outrageous fashion show is planned for the senior center luncheon on April 22 to mark April as Humor Month. The cost is $5. Reservations are required.
On April 30, the senior center will be hosting its monthly dinner, with prizes going to the guests who wear the ugliest tie and earrings.
The $6 dinner begins with a half-hour social at 6 p.m. Reservations are required by April 25.
A free seminar on establishing a trust is scheduled for Monday at 1 p.m. at the senior center.
