City Lights To Dim For Comet Viewing

Compiled From Wire Services

Cities across Italy will dim their street lights this evening to help sky-watchers get a better view of the Hale-Bopp comet.

Astronomers say tonight will be the best time in Italy to see the comet, although viewing should be good until April 10.

Rome is planning to line streets with candles so electric lights can be dimmed tonight.

The comet isn’t expected to return to Earth for another 4,000 years.
