“To Cut or Not to Cut,” is the theme of the Inland Empire Public Lands Council annual conference Saturday at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 4340 Fort George Wright Drive.
Morning sessions, beginning at 9 a.m., will cover the science and politics of the Interior Columbia Basin Ecosystem Management Project and lessons learned from 20 years of forest planning.
Afternoon sessions will focus on forest management in the Coeur d’Alene area and options in logging.
The evening will be more social, including dinner, a keynote address, a benefit auction, followed by dancing and music. Reservations encouraged. Info: 838-4912.
