Leonard Olson Coeur d’Alene

Graveside service for Leonard Victor Olson, 85, will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Forest Cemetery in Coeur d’Alene. English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Olson, who was born in Bonners Ferry, died Friday.

He moved to Coeur d’Alene from the Harrison/St. Maries area and worked as a shipping and receiving clerk in the aluminum industry.

Survivors include three sons, Leonard Olson of Coeur d’Alene, Edward Olson of Virginia, and Robert Olson of Seattle; two daughters, Marilyn Elliott and Donna Houston, both of Coeur d’Alene; a sister, Florence Messersmith of Coeur d’Alene; seven grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Kenneth Everson Coeur d’Alene

Visitation for Kenneth Lester Everson, 75, will be today from 9-11 a.m. at Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene. Memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Coeur d’Alene. Burial will take place at Forest Cemetery in Coeur d’Alene.

Mr. Everson, who was born in North Dakota, died Wednesday.

He moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1932, and graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School.

He attended Bradley University in Illinois and airplane instrument school in California.

Mr. Everson served with the Navy during World War II and returned to Coeur d’Alene.

He became co-owner of Everson Jewelry in 1946 and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Hayden Lake Country Club, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Rotary.

Mr. Everson was a past board member of Coeur d’Alene Homes and was co-chairman of development for Heritage Place.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, June; three sons, Ken Everson, Gary Everson and Bill Everson, all of Coeur d’Alene; two brothers, Clair Everson of Hayden Lake, and Vance Everson of Spokane; and five grandsons, Joe, Dave, Brent, Tom and Jim.

Memorials may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church Building Fund.

Hazel Richard Spokane

Service for Hazel Richard, 85, will be today at 10 a.m. at Rockford United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Mica Peak Cemetery. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Richard, who was born in Rockford, died Tuesday.

She worked for Kaiser Aluminum as a secretary until her retirement in 1975.

Survivors include two brothers, Oliver Richard of Spokane and Glen Richard of Lewiston; and a sister, Florence Wolfe of Spokane.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Sierra Club.

Rita (VanZandt) Dreitzler Wallace

Graveside service for Rita Sue (VanZandt) Dreitzler, 53, will be today at 2 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Kellogg. Shoshone Funeral Service in Kellogg is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Dreitzler, who was born in Kellogg, died Wednesday.

She spent most of her life in the Silver Valley. She graduated from Wallace High School and then completed a sociology program at Eastern Washington University.

Ms. Dreitzler had worked at the World Trade Center in New York, was a bookkeeper for five years and held various other jobs.

She was a member of the Eagles.

Survivors include a son, Shenan (Bones) Partrick of Wallace; a brother, Raymond VanZandt of Wallace; and a sister, Edith Putnam Roberts of Osburn.

Anna Sundstrom Kellogg

Graveside service for Ann M. Sundstrom, 84, will be today at 1 p.m. at Shoshone Memorial Gardens in Pinehurst, Idaho. Shoshone Funeral Service in Kellogg is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Sundstrom, who was born in Michigan, died Friday. She moved to the Silver Valley in 1919 and graduated from Kellogg High School. Mrs. Sundstrom worked as a clerk at the Kellogg Post Office from 1946-72 and was a member of the Kellogg Eagles Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, in 1958. Survivors include a son, of Kingston, Idaho; a sister, Martha Karvonen of Portland; five grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.

Donald Lounder Spokane

A private service for Donald Henry Lounder, 73, will be held at his request. The Cremation Society of Washington is in charge of cremation.

Mr. Lounder, who was born in Spokane, died Friday.

He served in the Navy during World War II.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Doris; four daughters, Kathryn Kroll, Cheryl Bozeman, Teresa Micek, Debbie Gilbreth; three sons, David, Kelly and Danny Lounder; two brothers, Keith and Wayne Lounder; 25 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Ruth Harris Spokane

No service will be held for Ruth M. Harris, 91, at the family’s request. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Harris, who was born in Medical Lake, died Thursday.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by a daughter, Dorothy Mael of Spokane; five grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
