Fred White Spokane
Memorial service for Fred W. White, 73, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Church of the Nazarene. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. White, who died Tuesday, was born in Ripley, Tenn.
He served in the Army during World War II and received the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, the European-AfricanMiddle Eastern Theater Ribbon and the World War II Victory Medal.
Mr. White married Lonnie Moore in 1943 in Osceola, Ark.
He had lived in Spokane for 45 years and owned a car dealership in Spokane for 23 years.
Mr. White is survived by his wife; two sons, Frederick White of Spokane and Craig White of Sutherlin, Ore.; a daughter, Deanna Realing of Spokane; a brother, James White of St. Louis; a sister, Era Perry of Brownsville, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Lee McNutt Elk, Wash.
Memorial service for Lee R. McNutt, 60, is planned for 2 p.m. Saturday at Country Church of the Open Bible in Elk. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. McNutt, who was born in Fort Benton, Mont., died April 10.
He graduated from Kettle Falls (Wash.) High School and came to Spokane in 1970.
He was a self-employed carpenter and masonry worker.
Mr. McNutt is survived by his wife, Jill McNutt; children, Larry McNutt, Michael Ladd, Tammy Hopkins and Kelly Wells, all of Spokane, Daun White of Newport, Wash., and Terry Schavolt of Bayview, Idaho; his mother, Ada McNutt of Spokane; two sisters, Mary Wells of Arkansas and Evelyn Erickson of Chattaroy; and 12 grandchildren.
Larry Adams Spokane
Memorial service for Larry E. Adams, 34, is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday at the home of his parents. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of cremation.
Mr. Adams, who was born in Clarkston, Wash., died Tuesday from unknown natural causes.
He had lived in Spokane for 33 years and worked as a cabinet maker.
Mr. Adams is survived by his mother and stepfather, Charlotte and Richard Fricke of Spokane; two sisters, Rose Michaels of Medical Lake and Ruby Thompson of Oroville, Wash.; and two brothers, Ronald Adams of Spokane and Leland Adams of Moses Lake.
Chiyoe Edamatsu Seattle
Graveside service for Chiyoe Edamatsu, 97, is planned for 10 a.m. Saturday at Greenwood Cemetery Upper Terrace. Memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Highland Park United Methodist Church. Butterworth Funeral Home in Seattle is in charge of cremation.
Mrs. Edamatsu, who was born in Japan, died April 4.
She came to Spokane in 1942, and worked on the family farm and also worked as a hotel maid.
She moved to Seattle in 1991.
Her husband, Tsunazo Edamatsu, died in 1953.
Mrs. Edamatsu is survived by a son, Eddie Edamatsu of Spokane; and four grandchildren.

Joseph Martini Spirit Lake, Idaho
No service will be held for Joseph P. Martini, 82. Coeur d’Alene Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Martini, who was born in Collinsville, Ill., died Wednesday.
He moved to Alaska in 1945 and worked for the White Pass and Yukon Railroad as a longshoreman, before moving to Coeur d’Alene in 1959.
Mr. Martini returned to Alaska until moving back to Coeur d’Alene in 1965, where he owned and operated Garwood (Idaho) Wrecking.
He was a member of the Spirit Lake United Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Martini was preceded in death by his wife, Nadine.
Survivors include a daughter, Janice Schultz of Spokane; two sisters, Viola Draikowski and Becky DeConcini, both of Illinois; three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Delores Nill Spokane
Memorial service for Delores Rilean Nill, 64, was Tuesday.
Mrs. Nill, who was born in Grand Rapids, Minn., died Saturday.
She moved to Spokane in 1964, and was a homemaker and a member of Liberty Park United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Nill is survived by three sons, Dwayne Nill of Cheney, Darwin Nill of Spokane and Kevin Nill of Vancouver, Wash.; a brother, Herman Johnson; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Norris Barber Spokane
Memorial service for Norris C. Barber, 61, was Wednesday at Gretna Green Chapel. The Cremation Society of Washington is in charge of cremation.
Mr. Barber, who died Saturday, was born in Billings, Mont.
He graduated from Washington State University and received a master’s degree in special education from New York University.
He and his wife, Betty, returned to Spokane 32 years ago from New York.
Mr. Barber taught elementary special education for School District 81. He also served as director of special services for the Mead School District and later taught at Mead until he retired in 1989.
Mr. Norris was named Senior Volunteer in 1996 for the Spokane area. He was a volunteer for Mead School District, Sacred Heart Hospital, Shriner’s Hospital for Children and the Ronald McDonald House.
Mr. Norris is survived by his wife of 32 years; a daughter, Kirsten Lenz of Naches, Wash.; a son, Eric Barber of Coeur d’Alene; and a brother, Robert Barber of Sterling, Ill.

Donald Riedel, D.D.S. Worley, Idaho
No service will be held for Dr. Donald F. Riedel, 67.
Dr. Riedel, who was born in Eugene, Ore., died March 30.
He graduated from the University of Oregon School of Dentistry and served in the Navy during the Korean War.
After his military service, he opened a dental practice in Pullman. He retired in 1992 and moved to Worley.
Dr. Riedel spent winters in Arizona and lived in Worley in the summer months.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Gwenlee; a daughter, Karen Henager of Sacramento; son, Alan Riedel of Spokane; and a granddaughter.

Alice Kivett Ford, Wash.
Rosary for Alice Kivett, 89, is planned for 7 p.m. today at the Kivett home. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Spokane Tribal Longhouse in Wellpinit, Wash. Burial will be at Hubert Cemetery in Ford. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Kivett, a lifetime resident of the Spokane Indian Reservation, died Wednesday.
She was a member of the Spokane Tribe of Indians and St. Philip Benizi Parish.
Mrs. Kivett is survived by a daughter, Mary Vivit, and two sons, Robert and James Kivett, all of Ford; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Mabel Winn Coeur d’Alene
Private memorial service for Mabel Jean Winn, 88, was held earlier. Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Winn, who was born in Rockland, Idaho, died Sunday.
She attended nursing college and farmed in Pocatello, Idaho, before moving to California. She retired and moved to Heyburn, Idaho, in 1970.
In 1988 she moved to Coeur d’Alene to be near her family.
Mrs. Winn participated in square dancing, church groups and an organ club.
Survivors include her husband, George; a son, Gerald Winn of California; a daughter, Carol Cleave of Silverdale, Wash.; seven grandchildren, Sharon Jones, Kathy Burke, Steve Winn, all of California, Jenny Hill and Brad Cleave both of Idaho, and Dan and Mark Cleave, both of Washington; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Robert Melton Spokane
Service for Robert H. Melton, 83, is planned for 2 p.m. on Saturday at Cheney Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Spokane Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Melton, who was born in Trenton, Tenn., died Tuesday.
He moved to California when he was 20 and worked at the Metropolitan State Mental Hospital for 37 years. He retired in 1973 and moved to Cheney.
His wife of 56 years, Jeanne Beaman, died in 1993.
Mr. Melton was a member of the Cheney Senior Bowling Team.
He is survived by a son, Robert Melton of Hillsboro, Ore.; a daughter, Marie Zabel of Cheney; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

Theodore Wolf, S.J. Sublimity, Ore.
Graveside service for the Rev. Theodore J. Wolf, S.J., 89, will be at 11 a.m. today at Mount St. Michael Cemetery in Spokane. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Sublimity, the Rev. Wolf died Sunday.
He entered the Society of Jesus in 1925 and was ordained in 1938 in Santa Clara, Calif.
He served as a professor of philosophy at Gonzaga University from 1944 until 1973, and was also a professor at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.
He was in the Spokane Jesuit community from 1989 until 1995 when he returned to Sublimity.
Rev. Wolf was an assistant pastor in Clarkston, Wash., Gold Beach, Ore. and Sublimity. Survivors include a brother, Roman Wolf of Mount Angel, Ore.
