Idaho Continues Testing For Pertussis This Week

Pertussis testing continues today, Tuesday and Wednesday.

According to the Panhandle Health District, the only people who should be tested are those with whooping cough symptoms who have been exposed to an infected person.

Symptoms include a running nose, watery eyes and a persistent cough.

Testing is from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tests will be performed at 1111 Ironwood Drive in Coeur d’Alene, in the basement suite below Aesthetic SurgiCare Northwest.

As of Saturday, there were 129 confirmed cases of whooping cough reported in North Idaho. Of those, 116 were in Kootenai County. , DataTimes
