Bernadine Rae Coeur d’Alene
Memorial service for Bernadine M. Rae, 76, was held Friday. Burial followed at the Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Ore. Coeur d’Alene Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Rae, who was born in Harrison, Idaho, died Wednesday.
She had worked as a telephone operator in Harrison before moving to Bremerton, where she worked in the naval yard as a courier.
Mrs. Rae received a teacher’s certificate from Washington State College and taught school in Spokane, later receiving a degree for social work.
She moved to Washington D.C. and worked for Catholic Charities and also as a case social worker. She later taught instrument flying for the Coast Guard in Boston.
Mrs. Rae retired in 1973 and moved to Post Falls before moving to Tennessee in 1977. She lived in Tennessee for 13 years, then moved to Coeur d’Alene.
Survivors include her husband, Page.
Claude Lamb Spokane
Private burial will be held for Claude L. Lamb, 81, at the Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of cremation.
Mr. Lamb, a 55-year Spokane resident, died Thursday.
He was born in Steamboat Rock, Iowa, and served in the Army during World War II.
He worked as the manager of the Montgomery Ward Store in downtown Spokane for many years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and was a Shriner. He was also a musician in the Polka Dots band and played the organ and piano.
Mr. Lamb is survived by his wife, Hallie; three sons, Gary Lamb of Bow, Wash., and Frank and Karl Lamb, both of Akeley, Minn.; two brothers, Bob Lamb of Marshalltown, Iowa, and Gordon Lamb of Northfield, Ill.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Leslie Hofford Orient, Wash.
No service will be held for Leslie E. Hofford, 68, at his request. Danekas Funeral Chapel in Colville, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hofford, who died April 17, was born in Laurier, Wash.
He graduated from Rogers High School in Spokane and worked for Kaiser Aluminum for more than 30 years.
He moved to Orient 15 years ago.
He is survived by his mother, Ruth Hofford of Colville; and two sisters, Tina Tuck of Spokane and Anabelle Altmeyer of Post Falls.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
Jean (Dockendorff) Stalick Spokane
Private memorial service for Jean R. (Dockendorff) Stalick, 77, will be held at a later date. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South is in charge of cremation.
Mrs. Stalick, who was born in Spokane, died Friday.
She attended Lewis and Clark High School, and Felt and Tarant Comptometer School in Spokane.
Mrs. Stalick worked for various businesses in Spokane, and later operated Victor Comptometer School and Temporary Service from 1965 until 1973. She then operated Jean’s Calculating Service until the early 1980s. She had also worked at Rosauers, retiring in 1986.
Her husband of 39 years, John Stalick, died in 1977.
She is survived by a son, John Stalick, and a daughter, Phyllis Holmes, both of Spokane; a sister, Belle Potts of Spokane; a granddaughter and a great-grandson.

Gordon Davies Spokane
No service will be held for Gordon Davies, 72. The Cremation Society of Washington is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Davies, who was born in Hillyard died Wednesday.
He served in the Navy during World War II and worked as a conductor for the Burlington Northern Railroad until he retired in 1986.
He was a member of the Order of Railroad Conductors and Brakemen and Eagles Lodge No. 2.
Mr. Davies is survived by his wife of 30 years, Marleen; four children, Mernie Griffiths and Danelle Blangers, both of Spokane, Lisa Lyvinsov of Clatskanie, Ore., and Cooky Davies of Bellingham; three brothers, Earl Davies of Cherry Valley, Calif., James Davies of Spokane and Richard Davies of Everett; and three grandchildren.
Rose Krum Sandpoint
Graveside service for Rose Krum, 90, will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Fresno, Calif. Coffelt Funeral Service in Sandpoint is in charge of local arrangements.
Mrs. Krum, who was born in Fresno, died Friday.
She grew up in Fresno and worked at various raisin packing plants. She moved to Sandpoint in 1991 to be near family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, John, in 1984.
Survivors include a son, Robert Krum of Sandpoint; three brothers, George, Philip and Albert Engelman, all of Fresno; four sisters, Kate Krum, Mollie Klich, Irene Wilt and Edna Epperson, all of Fresno; five granddaughters and 11 great-grandchildren.
Paul Ross Marcus, Wash.
Memorial service for Paul Leland Ross, 69, is set for 11 a.m. May 3 at the Chewelah (Wash.) Free Methodist Church. Schanzenbach Funeral Home in Chewelah is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Ross, who was born in Chewelah, died Wednesday.
He served in the Navy during World War II.
He worked as a building contractor in the Kettle Falls, Wash., area and owned Ross Construction Co.
Mr. Ross was a member of Kettle Falls Masonic Lodge No. 130 and Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 77 and was also a Shriner and a member of the Kettle Falls Lions Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Diana Erickson, and a son, Ronald Ross, both of Valley, Wash.; three brothers, David and Eric Ross, both of Chewelah, and James Ross of Othello, Wash.; two sisters, Betsy Edwards of Chewelah and Marjorie Ross Rausch of Addy, Wash.; and six grandchildren.
John Weirauch Jr. Mead
No service will be held for John Weirauch Jr., 87. The Cremation Society of Washington is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Weirauch, who died Monday, was born in Lebanon, Pa.
He served in the Army during World War II.
Mr. Weirauch owned a gas station and auto repair shop in Lebanon and retired in the early 1980s. He had lived in Mead since 1982.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; a son, William Weirauch of Spokane; two stepdaughters, Karen Baker of Spokane and Jacqueline Wheeless of Idaho; several brothers, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Leatha Edwards Spokane
Service for Leatha Lois Carpenter Edwards, is planned for 2 p.m. today at the Lauer Funeral Home in Deer Park. Burial will be at the Woodland Cemetery in Deer Park.
Mrs. Edwards, a former Spokane resident, died Wednesday.
She was born in Minco, Okla., and had lived in Spokane since 1990.
Her first husband, Orville Carpenter, died in 1966 while they were living in Oregon.
Mrs. Edwards moved to the Deer Park area and operated the Antlers Cafe and Lounge in Deer Park.
She later married Duane Edwards. They were divorced after 10 years and had lived in Loon Lake, Wash.
She is survived by a son, Lynn Carpenter of Deer Park; and a sister, Ila Hausser of Conrad, Mont.
Sarah Boone Spokane
Service for Sarah L. Boone, 72, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
Mrs. Boone, who was born in Jonesville, Va., died Friday.
She had lived in Spokane for more than 50 years and was a homemaker.
Her husband, Walter Boone, died April 21.
Survivors include a son, William “Bill” Boone of Creston, Wash.; four sisters, Ruth King and Mary Lambert, both of Jonesville, Lois Ramsey of Sneedville, Tenn., and Edna Waldrop of Dowagiac, Mich.; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Druzilla Baker Spokane
Private service was held for Druzilla (Powell) Baker. Burial was at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Mrs. Baker, who was born in Harrison, N.J., died Thursday. She was 86.
She had lived in Spokane for 64 years and was a homemaker.
Her husband, Lowell Baker, died in 1987.
Mrs. Baker is survived by a son, Bob Baker of Boise; a daughter, Barbara Hoffman of Denver; five granddaughters and one great-grandson.

Lucille Grant Spokane
No service will be held for Lucille N. Grant. The Cremation Society Of Washington is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Grant, 65, died Thursday.
She was born and raised in Dayton, Wash.
Mrs. Grant, a 40-year Spokane resident, owned a beauty salon in a Spokane nursing home and retired in 1985.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Donald Grant; a son, Douglas Grant of Airway Heights; and a sister, LaDonna Warner and a brother, Charles Hixon, both of Roundup, Mont.
Lawrence Strandenaes Medical Lake
Funeral Mass for the Rev. Lawrence Charles Strandenaes, 79, was Friday at the Immaculate Conception Church of the Society of St. Pius X in Post Falls. Burial was at the Holy Cross Cemetery.
Born in Norway, the Rev. Strandenaes died April 20.
He came to live in Spokane 11 years ago from Montana.
The Rev. Strandenaes was ordained in 1943 at St. Johns University in Collegeville, Minn., and was a member of the Society of St. Pius X.
Survivors include a brother, Bjorn Strandenaes of Sweden.
