Normally Shy, Lentils Take A Bow At Pullman Fest
Pullman is the lentil capital of the universe and this weekend folks will strut their peas and beans during the National Lentil Festival.
The fun starts at 8 a.m. Saturday with a lentil pancake breakfast ($4, $3 children) at the Cougar Plaza on the corner of Grand and Olson in downtown Pullman. A grand parade will march down Main at 11 a.m.
Throughout the day there will be an arts and craft fair and activities for the kid’s in Reaney Park. A microbrew tasting and live entertainment starts at noon.
Work up an appetite and head to the Lentil Lane Food Court where you can savor lentil pizza, lentil wraps and, I’m not making this up, lentil ice cream.
Don’t forget the Bean-O.
