Clara Schulhauser Osburn, Idaho

Memorial Rosary and Mass for Clara Marie Schulhauser, 73, will be today at 10 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Wallace. Shoshone Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Schulhauser, who died Wednesday, was born in North Dakota.

She graduated from high school in North Dakota in 1943 and went on to attend three years of nursing school.

Mrs. Schulhauser worked as a registered nurse and moved to the Silver Valley in 1947 from American Falls, Idaho.

She was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Daughters, the Osburn Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and the Grandmothers Club.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Walter; two sons, Anthony Schulhauser of Greenacres, Wash., and Mark Schulhauser of Nevada; a daughter, Linda Selvy of Seattle; a brother, Daniel Kraft of Connecticut; three sisters, Martha McPhee of Hawaii, Pauline Sorby of Olympia and Rosella Heuer of Newberg, Ore.; and five grandchildren, Eric, Jill, Brett, Ryan and Stefanie.

Florence Hudson Coeur d’Alene

Visitation for Florence Edythe Hudson, 85, will today from 9 to 10 a.m. at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Funeral Home. Service will follow at 10 a.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hudson, who was born in North Dakota, died Sunday.

She grew up and graduated from high school in North Dakota and later moved to Montana.

Mrs. Hudson moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1948.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James.

Survivors include a daughter, Verna Brekke of Yakima; a son, Glenn Whitlow of North Dakota; a brother, Floyd Bosserman of North Dakota; a sister, Ethel Virts; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Shirley Hart Post Falls

Memorial service for Shirley Delmar Hart, 76, will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church in Post Falls. English Funeral Chapel in Post Falls is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hart, who was born in Hermiston, Ore., died Tuesday.

He moved to Post Falls in 1921 from Hermiston and attended schools in Post Falls.

Mr. Hart was a maintenance worker at Kaiser Aluminum Trentwood, retiring in 1978.

He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia; a son, Michael of Post Falls; two sisters, Christina Scheller and Vaye Kirkpatrick, both of Kellogg; and two grandchildren.

Jennifer Burke Taylorsville, Utah

Visitation for Jennifer Merrie (Winn) Burke, 35, will be today from 11:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Funeral home. Graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Burke, who was born in California, died last Friday.

She moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1979 and graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School.

Mrs. Burke moved to Montana in 1987 and recently moved to Utah to be near family.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Survivors include her husband, John; her mother, Rose Winn of Utah; a sister, Janie Angeles; and two brothers, Tim Winn and Joe Silva.

Norma Roberts Kennewick

Service for Norma B. Roberts, a former Spokane resident, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Kennewick. Meullers Chapel of the Falls in Kennewick is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Roberts, who was born in New Meadows, Idaho, died Monday. She was 76.

She graduated from high school in the Seattle area and married Joe Roberts in 1942 in Seattle.

They lived in Spokane for nearly 30 years and moved to Lewiston, where they resided for 15 years. In 1986 she then moved to Kennewick.

Mrs. Roberts was a homemaker.

Her husband died in 1986.

Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Martin of Littleton, Colo., and Kippy Goldgrabe of Spokane; a sister, Marie Kremling of Kent, Wash.; a brother, Bill Smith of Seattle and two grandchildren.

Lonnie Allen Santa, Idaho

Graveside service for Lonnie D. Allen, 46, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Riverside Cemetery in Santa. Yates-Hodge Funeral Home in St. Maries is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Allen, who was born in St. Maries, died Monday.

He graduated from St. Maries High School in 1969 and worked for the Potlatch Corp. St. Maries Complex.

Mr. Allen later worked for a sawmill in Spokane for 10 years.

Most recently he was self-employed as a woodcutter.

Survivors include his wife, Robin; three sons, Lucas Powell, Christopher Allen and Brenten Allen, all of Santa; a stepson, Shawn Allen of Tacoma; three daughters, Shawnna Allen of Seattle, Nicole Allen of Tacoma and Brandy Allen of Santa; his father, Melvin Allen of St. Maries; his mother, Betty Jones of St. Maries; his grandmother, Leona Allen of St. Maries; three brothers, Duane, Edgar and Michael Allen, all of St. Maries; and a sister, Cindy Zupan of Kingston, Idaho.

Earl Burris Hayden Lake

Memorial service for Earl Burris, 80, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel. Mr. Burris, who was born in Wyoming, died Thursday.

He grew up in and attended school in Coeur d’Alene and Hayden Lake.

He later lived in various cities in Wyoming, Montana and Idaho, where he worked in the oil fields, for the park service and for Farragut Naval Station..

Mr. Burris moved to Hayden Lake in 1951 and worked for the Forest Service, retiring in 1976.

Survivors include his wife, Bernice; two sons, Steve Burris of Post Falls and Terry Burris of Spokane; two brothers, William Burris of Wyoming and Orville Burris of Oregon; a sister, Evelyn Reisinger of Seattle; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Gary Raef San Jose, Calif.

Private family service will be held at a later date for Gary Robert Raef, 52. Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Raef, who was born in Spokane, died Wednesday.

He graduated from high school in Spokane before serving as a Marine Corps medic in Vietnam, where he received the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.

Mr. Raef returned to Spokane after his military discharge and moved to California in the 1980s.

He had worked as a general contractor in the construction business and had spent summers in Coeur d’Alene since 1989.

He was a member of the San Jose South Bay Yacht Club and the Blue Gavel Club.

Survivors include his wife of 11 years, Mary; a daughter, Molli Raef of California; his mother and stepfather, Marian and John Claney of California; and a brother, Robert Claney of California.

Edward Fitzpatrick Airway Heights

Funeral Mass for Edward J. Fitzpatrick, 77, will be at 10 a.m. today at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Born in Thompson, N.D., Mr. Fitzpatrick died Tuesday.

He served in the Army during World War II.

Mr. Fitzpatrick had worked as an assembly worker.

He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 51, the Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes and the Harmon Community Center.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Nicholine; a son, James Fitzpatrick of Las Vegas, Nev.; two daughters, Shirley Andersen of Spokane and Peggy Olson of Airway Heights; two brothers, Mike and Don Fitzpatrick, both of Spokane; two sisters, Peggy Harris of Detroit and Kay Jared of Spokane; and two grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Spokane or the St. Vincent de Paul Society.

Vera Stutzman Spokane

Burial for Vera E. Stutzman, 91, will be at Pines Cemetery. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Stutzman, who was born in Joplin, Mo., died Tuesday.

She was a 43-year Spokane resident and was a homemaker.

Her husband of 59 years, Charles Stutzman, died in 1983.

She is survived by three daughters, Shirley Stearns of Hayden Lake, Idaho, Colleen Arthur of Spokane and Bonnie Freeman of Athol, Idaho; eight grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Glenn Kemmer Spokane

Graveside service for Glenn J. Kemmer, 80, will be at 10 a.m. today at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Kemmer, who died last Friday, was born in Fargo, N.D.

He was an Air Force veteran.

Mr. Kemmer moved to Spokane in 1967 and was a self-employed investor.

Survivors include a brother, Chester Kemmer of Post Falls.

Sharon Constantine Spokane

Memorial service for Sharon Lea Constantine, a former Wilbur, Wash., resident, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Presbyterian Church in Evanston, Wyo. Another memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Aug. 29 at the Presbyterian Church in Huron, S.D. Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Born in Huron, S.D., Mrs. Constantine died Tuesday. She was 54.

She worked in Evanston, Wyo., for 16 years as a city government employee. She later moved to Wilbur and operated a hotel in Wilbur for many years.

She is survived by her husband, Donald; two children, Bradley Constantine of Wilbur and Barry Constantine of Evanston; her mother, Norma Bonnes of Huron; a brother, James Bonnes of Rapid City, S.D.; a sister, Diana Anderson of Souix Falls, S.D.; and four grandchildren.
