Cooper Heads All-Wnba Team
Houston guard Cynthia Cooper was the only unanimous selection to the All-WNBA first team.
Cooper, the league’s leading scorer averaging 22.4 points per game, received first-team votes on all 37 ballots cast by a panel of writers and broadcasters.
Joining Cooper on the first team is her teammate, forward Tina Thompson, along with Sacramento guard Ruthie Bolton-Holifield, Los Angeles center Lisa Leslie and Cleveland forward Eva Nemcova.
The second team has guard Teresa Weatherspoon and forward Rebecca Lobo of New York, Charlotte guard Andrea Stinson, Phoenix center Jennifer Gillom and Utah forward Wendy Palmer.
