A court commissioner in Prince George’s County, Md., has issued a criminal summons charging former heavyweight boxing champion Riddick Bowe with assaulting his wife at their Fort Washington home.

Two limousine rides made by a handful of football players in November 1995 continue to haunt the Miami Hurricanes. Starting quarterback Ryan Clement has been implicated in one of two limo rides at the center of an NCAA investigation. Clement is not the focus of the investigation and Miami athletic director Paul Dee said his eligibility is not in danger. Yatil Green, another player who was in the limo, has said he received money from a representative of a sports agent, placing the Hurricanes’ Carquest Bowl victory in jeopardy.
