The Kennedy Curse

Massachusetts Rep. Joseph P. Kennedy II, above, sensitive to the negative publicity he and his family have received, announced Thursday that he has decided not to run for governor next year. Kennedy, eldest son of the late Robert F. Kennedy, said he feared his candidacy would end up keying on recent scandals within his family, such as his brother Michael’s alleged relationship with a teenage baby sitter. Cousin John F. Kennedy Jr. said Joe and Michael Kennedy have become “poster boys for bad behavior.”
