Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: I read your column often. When I find a helpful hint that I want to save, I cut it out. The only problem is, when I go to find the clipping I can’t remember where I put it.

I then came up with this idea. I purchased a small photo album and put the hints in there. They are protected, are all in one place and easy to locate. Now when I want to refer to one it is easy to find. - Diane Petruski, Middletown, N.Y.

Dear Heloise: I use the plastic bags from the dry cleaner to stuff balloon valances. It works great! - Barbara Cohen, Clark, N.J.

Dear Heloise: To the woman whose husband put the spare key with his driver’s license, unfortunately, if your husband loses his wallet, or worse, has it stolen, the finder or thief has your address (from the license) and the key to your car.

- Mike Avilla, San Jose, Calif.

Good point, and well worth printing. - Heloise Dear Heloise: We love the beach, but suntan lotion and sand can be a messy combination!

I always keep a large baby-powder dispenser in the trunk of the car. Instead of having the kids try to rinse off the sand before leaving, I have them powder up.

Sand falls away as you brush the powder off your skin with a dry towel (even between the toes), and your car will stay clean and dry! - Mary Olen, South Bend, Ind.
