The Coeur d’Alene River Ranger District is open some weekends in December to sell Christmas tree permits.

The office in Fernan will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 6, 7, 13, 14 and 20. People also can purchase the $3 permit between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. , DataTimes
