Boeing Hasn’t Lost Any Asian Orders

From Staff And Wire Reports

Boeing Co. chairman Philip Condit said Tuesday the aircraft maker hasn’t received any cancellations from Asian carriers because of the region’s currency turmoil.

However, Condit didn’t exclude the possibility that some airlines might pull out of their option to order more aircraft in addition to the ones already contracted, Dow Jones News Service reported.

The market has recently heard rumors that the economic repercussions of the Asia financial crisis may lead two major Asian airlines, Cathay Pacific and Singapore Airlines, to pull out of their options for ordering more planes.
