Lovelace Leads Glory Past Rage

Stacey Lovelace scored 25 points and had 11 rebounds Friday to lead the host Atlanta Glory to an 88-75 victory over the Philadelphia Rage.

Rookie center Tracy Henderson scored a career-high 24 points and added 10 rebounds and player-coach Teresa Edwards scored 17 and had 13 assists for the Glory, who won for the sixth time in seven games.

Natalie Williams scored 28 points and grabbed 17 rebounds as Portland overcame a late rally by New England and broke a three-game losing streak.

Williams hit two free throws to give Portland an 84-77 lead with 33.8 seconds remaining, but baskets by Carla Berube and Carolyn Jones, who led the Blizzard with 20 points, cut the lead to 84-81 with 19 seconds left. Jennifer Rizzotti hit two free throws to cut the lead to one with 9.3 seconds left.
