Lake City (6-0) came into Nine Mile Falls Saturday boasting the No. 1 A-1 ranking in Idaho.
Lakeside (2-0) came into the game after finishing sixth at the State A tournament last year. Not surprisingly, their game came down to the final seconds.
Lindsay Herbert’s bucket with 30 seconds left proved the game winner in the Timberwolves’ 46-45 victory.
The Eagles had two shots in the final half-minute but came up short both times.
The Eagles’ Brianne Jolley had nine rebounds.
