Mob Attacks Referee

Compiled From Wire Services

A referee at a high school football playoff game was punched and pulled to the ground as a mob of Parrish High School fans surrounded him after their team lost 21-13 to Westbrook Christian Academy.

Police officer Alvin Collins said investigators were reviewing a videotape of the Friday night incident to identify the person who punched the referee.

Parrish lost after a last-minute drive came up just short on a firstdown measurement.
