Pat Mcmanus Reads At Aunties
Humor writer Pat McManus leads off a big week of readings and book signings at area bookstores.
McManus, the author of such books as “Never Sniff a Gift Fish,” “A Fine and Pleasant Misery” and, most recently, “Into the Twilight, Endlessly Grousing,” will read from his new book at 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday at Auntie’s Bookstore, Main and Washington.
On Saturday, McManus will sign copies of his books from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Moscow (Idaho) Waldenbooks in the Palouse Empire Mall.
Other Auntie’s readings include:
James Thayer, author of “Five Past Midnight,” will read from his book at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
Spokesman-Review columnist Jim Kershner, author of “The Human Comedy Plus Other Species at No Extra Cost,” will read from his book at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Doug Hurd, humor commentator for KPBX radio and author of “Overpacking Disease, Telling Your Child About Nordstrom, and Other Adult Traumas,” will sign copies of his book from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.
Santa Claus, international gift-giver and author of “The Truth About Christmas,” will read from his book at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. The book was written in collaboration with Auntie’s readings coordinator, Mitch Finley.
Also at the Moscow Waldenbooks, 2100 W. Pullman Highway: Stan Tate, author of “Jumping Skyward,” will sign copies of his book from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday.
