Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: When I make rolled-out cookies I always wear plastic gloves. That way the flour or dough never sticks to my fingers.

Also, they are great to use when planting flowers. Just toss away the dirty gloves after planting. - Kathleen Beacon, Sioux City, Iowa

Dear Heloise: We moved into a small apartment with a very small kitchen and limited cabinet space. My spices were taking up half of the cabinet shelf and it was impossible to see what you wanted.

I put a three-tiered wire-coated spice rack on the bottom cabinet door. Of course, you can’t screw it on the door, so I bought self-sticking hooks and have all spices in alphabetical order. The spices have to lie on the shelf of the rack and I put duct tape on the ends so they won’t fall out. - Evelyn Racine, Republic, Mich. xxxx
